A wooded lot that backs up to a river had a small and dated 1950s ranch house on it. The renovation created an open living space with an addition on the rear of the house. By taking over the former closed off living room, the main bedroom got an ensuite bathroom, and the two other bedrooms and a hall bath still remain in the house. A previous addition on the back was taken down so that the house can enjoy the view with a deck across the rear. The laundry room was relocated adjacent to the kitchen in a portion of the carport to improve the flow going inside and outside. The house also received a new front porch and siding to improve the curb appeal.
